Frequently Asked Questions

Why the change to the layout of the markets?

Our Caloundra Street Fair and retail shops have joined forces as traders to become one community, collaborating and enhancing our Sunday event experience across Bulcock Street.

This process first saw our Fair stallholders “flipping” the stall frontage to be directly facing our retail partners, providing patrons easy access to stalls and retail shops. We know that this hasn’t been a positive experience for everyone, however with a series of new initiatives that will drive vibrancy, activity and engagement we hope to provide on enhanced experience to all.

A requirement has been to keep an emergency access point through the middle of the street (between the backs of the stalls) which has impeded on pedestrian access. We have now been able to agree alternative arrangements so that this emergency access will no longer be required.  From Sunday 4 March 2018 all of the stalls will be back to back in the middle of the street providing more access for patrons.

The Caloundra Chamber of Commerce is committed to offering a holistic experience for shoppers now and into the future and this new configuration will bring our retailers and stallholders together into a collaborative offering.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes you can, but the following conditions must be adhered to:

  • Your dog must be on a short leash at all times.
  • Your dog must be under your complete control at all times.
  • You must clean up after your dog immediately (come prepared with your dog waste bags).

You can be asked to leave if you do not comply with these conditions.

We feel that the Caloundra Street Fair can be too noisy and too crowded for even the best behaved pooch. Please think twice before bringing your furry friend along.

Can I busk at the Street Fair?

There are busking opportunities within the Street Fair precinct, but these must be negotiated with the Market Manager. Please visit the performers section of this website for more information. Please note, that the event precinct does not include the footpaths of the main street and sometimes buskers perform in approved locations here. You must have a current Busking Permit issued by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and you must follow their performance guidelines at all times.

How do I become a stallholder?

Please visit become a stallholder section of this website for all the information you need.

Is the Street Fair still on if it rains?

Yes, we are an all-weather event and that means we will go ahead even if it is raining. So, don your best wet-weather gear and come on down.

What car parking options are available?

The Caloundra Street Fair is located in the main street so there is ample parking in the surrounding streets in the centre of town. Parking is also available at the Caloundra Transit Centre on Cooma Terrace or the public carpark in Ormuz Avenue just behind Bulcock Street.

What is access like for differently-abled people?

The main street is on a very slight incline, but mostly flat, with sunny and shady parts of the street. Feedback we have received tells us that the Street Fair is wheelchair and mobility-scooter friendly. There are disabled parking options in the surrounding streets to Bulcock Street.

When is the Street Fair on?

The Street Fair takes place every Sunday (except Christmas Day) from 8am – 1pm.

Where can I find an ATM?

All the major banks have ATMs located in Bulcock Street. Simply ask any stallholder if you cannot locate one and need directions. For pre-planning visit

Why are you not called ‘Markets’ anymore?

A recent branding review revealed that our market participants, locals and visitors had not adopted our trading name ‘Markets on Bulcock’. ‘Caloundra Markets’ was not an option for us because another community market trades under this name. So after much research and discussion we realised that we are a market, but we are so much more! The Caloundra Street Fair seemed a fitting way to describe the wonderful things on offer every Sunday in Bulcock St from 8am – 1pm.
